Investing in Eternity

Many of us invest in bonds, mutual funds, IRA’s or 401k’s. God wants us to be good stewards of our money on earth, but sometimes are eyes become so fixed on the dollar that we lose sight of our eternal savings account. Building eternal wealth should be more important to us than any earthly bank accounts we have. Only when we realize that everything we own belongs to God and we will be held accountable for how we spend our resources will we begin to see our earthly wealth in a healthy light. God instructs us to give to the poor and to help those in need. Every generous act done for the glory of God will lay up treasure in heaven. We are to be rich in good works and willing to help others around us. Investing in eternal wealth is one investment we can always count on!
Matthew 6:19-21
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart also be."
