Managing Our Time

As mothers we can often find ourselves overwhelmed by the daily tasks of motherhood. Some days we feel that we just can’t seem to manage to get everything done that needs to be done. Often the reason behind this is because of how we are managing our time. It’s easy to fill up our day with time wasters, things that really have no significance in serving our family and we find ourselves overwhelmed and frustrated. Time is a gift from God and we need to manage it well. We should make the most of every opportunity by asking God each day to help us see what needs to be done and what we need to remove from our "to do" list. There are so many ways to waste our time. We can waste our time by watching to much t.v, spending excessive time on the computer or telephone, by worrying, gossiping, complaining, or simply being idle with our time by doing nothing. While it’s good to take the time to relax once in awhile we need to make sure we are using our time wisely and serving our families to the best of our God-given abilities. Some days we have are just plain busy, but often our days feel busy because we’re not managing our time wisely. Ask God to help you see the value of time and how you may be wasting precious time that needs to be devoted to serving your family.

Ephesians 5:15-17
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
