A Prayer for my Daughters

Instill in my daughter a desire for Truth
Help her to seek You in the days of her youth

Instill in my daughter a heart that is pure
That refuses to yield to temptations allure.

Instill in my daughter a longing for Your presence
Teach her to live with Holy fear and reverence.

Instill in my daughter a thirst for righteousness,
And the fruits of peace, joy, and faithfulness.

Instill in my daughter eyes with a vision
To see the world as a field with saved souls as her mission.

Instill in my daughter a love for your Word-
to carry the gospel where it is unheard.

Instill in my daughter a humble attitude
With words that overflow with love and gratitude.

Instill in my daughter a mind that is sound-
not given to fear, but where Your grace abounds.
